Caton United 2 - 7 (Seven) Bamber Bridge Reserves
Bamber Bridge Reserves put on an impressive display in their debut in the West Lancashire League Division 2, coming from two goals behind to run out 7-2 winners away at Caton United on Saturday, including four goals from Lewis Pilgrim.
The home side took the lead on 35 minutes through Adam Garnett and doubled the advantage just two minutes later through Lloyd Trippett.
However the action quickly switched to the other end with Pilgrim opening his Brig account just a minute later to make it 2-1 at half time.
Brig drew level on 55 minutes through Macauley Hopkins.
The equaliser opened the floodgates for Brig with a further three goals in 5 minutes.
Matty Dewhurst's goal on 57 minutes put Brig in to a 3-2 lead. This was followed by Pilgrim securing his hat trick with goals on 60 and 62 minutes.
Despite leading 5-2, Brig continued to pile on the pressure.
In the final minute of the game Taylor Maguire made it 6-2 to Brig.
Not content with a hat trick, Pilgrim popped up in injury time to score his 4th of the afternoon and Brig's 7th.

The reserves will be action at the SFC Stadium twice this week. First up is the visit of Mill Hill this coming Wednesday (7 August), 7pm KO followed by Dalton United on Saturday (10 August), 3pm. Admission is free and the clubhouse will be open during both games.
