Match Preview: Hebburn Town
After a storm affected week Brig return to action as they host Hebburn Town.
The visitors occupy 8th in the table with 31 points picked up from their 19 games leaving them just a point off the play offs and they come into the game off the back of two defeats to play-off contenders in Ilkeston and Guisley.
Hebburn have picked up 14 points on the road this season however they only have one win in their last 5 away matches.
It is the first of the second set of the fixture list of the season, Hebburn running away 5-1 victors in the reverse fixture. Town’s top scorer Amar Purewal netted twice in that game and took his tally to ten in their last league fixture.
Brig gained an important victory to end November beating Leek town 3-1, jack Baxter registered his fourth goal of the campaign with only Simon Grand and Lucas Weaver finding the net more than the midfielder.
A win for Brig could take Jamie Milligan’s men up to 11th in the table and would make it three home wins in four league matches.
Off the pitch it is Brig’s annual Christmas Jumper day with the club holding a food bank collection in aid of New Day food hub and the Christian Community Larder who support those in need in the local community.
