Match Preview: Whitby Town vs Bamber Bridge
After 10 goals in two games, Bamber Bridge are finding that sweet finishing ability, with confidence growing and belief building. Brig will make the trip to Whitby Town this Saturday, where they will be looking to take all three points.
Regarding Saturday's opponent, club captain Macauley Wilson said, "We are confident. Every game we have played this season, we have been in the game, and the confidence is sky high."
Wilson and Michael Potts will not be available for Saturday's game, as both have picked up five yellow cards and will serve a one-game suspension.
With two new signings added to the squad, Billy Bould and Gabriel Newton, Jamie Milligan will have a more challenging time picking the starting eleven as Bould impressed on Tuesday, scoring on his debut. Newton, meanwhile, began to find his feet as the game progressed against West Didsbury and Chorlton on Tuesday.
Whitby sit 13th in the league table, one point ahead of Brig, but the side from North Yorkshire have had an interesting time with fixtures. In their most recent league game against Macclesfield, the side lost 2-1 in a close encounter.
However, the Seasiders have two games in hand over Brig. With top goal scorer Junior Mondal available for the match, Jamie Milligan's team will have to be switched on, as the 26-year-old has 10 goals in his last seventeen appearances for the club in all competitions.
Brig will be looking to bring the goalscoring form to Whitby this Saturday, making it three wins from three in all competitions while continuing the unbeaten run in the league with three draws and one win in our last four games.
