Match Preview: Stafford Rangers vs Bamber Bridge
With a tough 1-0 defeat at Ilkeston Town in their last league game, despite a good away performance, Jamie Milligan’s men will be looking to get back in the win column against a struggling Rangers side.
This will be Brig’s first league game in two weeks due to postponed fixtures and they will be hoping to take momentum from their cup win over Bootle into this game, whilst also hoping the break has given many of their players the chance to get back to fitness and be in contention for team selection.
Stafford have made a difficult start to their season as they currently sit in 19th place, and are without a win in their last seven league games.
Kaiman Anderson has been the brightest part of Rangers' season so far as he has five goals and one assist in 13 games this season - he is one to watch for the hosts. Scoring has been the biggest problem for Stafford this season as they’ve only scored nine times in 11 games and have a negative 12 goal difference.
The sides split the two games last season, with both teams winning at home. The latest game was in March, with Brig coming out on top 2-1. Both teams will be desperate to win this game as Brig try to kickstart their season and Stafford aim to move clear of the relegation zone.
Bamber Bridge will be keen to make a good start following their two-week league hiatus, as they look to build confidence going into a busy schedule of games which sees them playing four times in 15 days.
