Match Preview: Bamber Bridge vs Warrington Rylands
After a hard-fought away draw against Stafford Rangers last Saturday, Brig face a tricky test at Irongate.
The visitors have been in some fine form this season, and are unbeaten in their last 11 league games - making it one of Brig's most challenging games of the season.
The side currently second in the table love a late goal, scoring seven goals in the 90th minute or later.
The Blues scoring so many late goals is a testament to their squad's character, meaning Bamber Bridge will have to be switched on from the first whistle to the last.
Brig know what it takes to beat a side in good form. Having played local rivals Chorley in the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy, Brig were able to cause an upset against a side who are making solid strides for the playoffs in the National League North.
Harry Benns has been in some fantastic form this season for Jamie Milligan's team, scoring five goals in all competitions. He is Brig's leading goalscorer, with loanee Harry Scarbrough close behind on four.
The last time the two teams met was in January, with Brig coming out victorious, snatching a 1-0 win against the side who would later finish 10th in the league that season.
With Sam Billington's loan being extended thanks to parent club Southport, he will be a big boost for Brig, with the forward able to cause trouble for the visitors.
Can Jamie Milligan and his team give the Blues their first league defeat in 11 league games? Time will tell, but Brig love a challenge and will rise to the occasion.
