Match Preview: Bamber Bridge vs FC United of Manchester
Bamber Bridge will look to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat at Whitby Town as we host FC United of Manchester on Tuesday.
The visitors will be sky-high with confidence after a last-minute penalty saw them beat Guiseley on Saturday. The Reds will be looking to build on this momentum as this was their first victory in their last five league games, with two draws and three losses before the win.
Luke Griffiths is having a fine season for FC United. With 11 goals this season, Brig's midfield will be busy in attempting to stop the 25-year-old from adding to his goal tally this season.
However, Brig will need to respond after a challenging first half on Saturday. Manager Jamie Milligan and his team will make sure they are at it from the whistle, as this will be a tight encounter between two sides who want to be much higher in the table.
Macauley Wilson and Michael Potts will be available for selection tomorrow as they have served their one-match suspension.
Bamber Bridge currently sit 19th in the league table, with games in hand on teams in front of them. Brig are aiming to start turning draws into wins, as they are only six points above the relegation zone and eight off the play-offs.
With the current goalscoring form at the SFC Stadium, Brig should feel confident they can get a result against a formidable opposition. We could see a few goals tomorrow evening, with ten goals in our last two games at the ground.
