Pitch Renovations
A look behind the scenes as work continues on the Irongate pitch ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Preparations for the new Northern Premier League season are well underway at Brig.
Last month drainage improvements were carried out and the old top surface of the Irongate pitch stripped. News which will no doubt delight players and supporters alike.
The new surface has taken well and last Monday it was ready for its first cut:

With the current sunny weather and rain forecast over the next few days it makes perfect growing conditions.
The first ball to be kicked on the new surface will be on Saturday 4 July when we welcome Chorley FC in the first home pre-season friendly of the year (kick off 3pm).
