Milligan Commits To Brig.

Milligan Signing July 2026

Brig boss agrees to stay for a seventh season.

Bamber Bridge Football Club is delighted to confirm that Jamie Milligan has agreed to remain as First Team Manager for the 2026/27 season following positive discussions with Chairman Dan Ferguson.

The agreement means Milligan will enter his seventh season in charge of the club, continuing a spell that has seen him become one of the most recognisable and respected figures in North West non-league football.

On announcing the agreement, Bamber Bridge Chairman Dan Ferguson said:

"As a club, we are absolutely delighted that Jamie has agreed to continue as manager.

"There are a lot of changes going on behind the scenes at the club, but one of our first priorities was to sit down with Jamie and discuss the future. We had some very positive conversations, and I'm pleased that we've been able to reach an agreement for him to continue leading the team.

"Jamie is highly regarded throughout non-league football, and it's no secret that he had opportunities elsewhere this summer. That makes his decision to stay with Bamber Bridge even more significant. He believes in what we're building here and wants to be part of the club's future.

"There are a lot of positive changes happening behind the scenes at the club on many fronts. We're working hard to put strong foundations in place for the future and create an environment where the football club can continue to grow. The first part of that plan was securing Jamie's future.

"In many ways, this is our first signing of the summer. Before we could focus on player recruitment and building a squad, we wanted to make sure the right man was leading the football side of the club.

"We can now focus on building a squad capable of improving on last season and challenging again this year. We know how competitive this league is, but having Jamie in place gives us a fantastic platform to build from.

"Anyone who knows Jamie knows how passionate he is and that's because he cares so much. He wears his heart on his sleeve, demands high standards, and gives absolutely everything for this football club.

"Most importantly, Brig is in his blood. He understands what this club means to our supporters and the local community. He's a fantastic manager, and we're extremely happy that he'll continue to lead our team into the 2026/27 season.

We look forward to working together as preparations for the new season gather pace."
