Match Preview- Bamber Bridge vs Atherton Collieries
After last Saturday's postponement, Brig host relegation-threatened Atherton Collieries.
The Colls are bottom of the league table with 19 points, while the visitors have picked up seven points in their last ten games. They will be coming to Brig to get some vital points.
Sitting in 21st, Atherton have two games in hand on Basford United, who currently sit 18th and just above the drop on goal difference.
David Chadwick's side have come close to picking up three points in their past five league games. With two late goals from league leaders Radcliffe, the Colls came close to taking a big win in their aim for survival.
Atherton Collieries have a few key players to watch, one of whom is top goal scorer Enoch Lusiama, who has 11 goals in the league this season.
Sidi Fofana would have been a former Brig academy graduate coming back to the SFC Stadium. However, due to an injury, he will not feature on Tuesday night. The forward has two goals this season. Meanwhile, Lewis Thompson will be back at Brig playing for The Colls. Thompson is still on loan at the side and will be available for selection.
For Brig, on the other hand, this is our first home game since the 27th of January, where we were beaten 5-1 to title favourites Radcliffe.
However, since that rough period between January and early February, Brig have managed to turn a corner.
With three games unbeaten and 14 goals scored Milligan's side is full of confidence and belief. Danny Edwards has been in some fine form as of late, scoring four goals in his last three games. Edwards will be looking to bring his form into the new month and close down top goalscorer Harry Scarborough.
Scarborough has also been in fine form, with the striker hitting double digits after his goal against Worksop Town in the league. The Chorley loanee has four goals in his last three games in all competitions and will be looking to add to his tally on Tuesday night.
In our last encounter with the Colls, Scarborough slotted home the winner in the final minutes of the game, while captain Macauley Wilson hit home a penalty earlier on, which saw Brig come home with the three points in a 2-1 victory at The Skuna Stadium.
Brig currently sit 15th in the league table, with games in hand on everyone else. A win on Tuesday could see Brig move up to 12th if enough goals are scored and Brig wins.
Kick-off for Tuesday's clash is at 7:45 pm
