K's Disappoint at Grand Drive

One day, we'll look back on 19th July 2022, the hottest day ever in the United Kingdtom and the first day when official temperatures topped 40 degrees centigrade, and laugh for some reason.

At the moment, though, whilst most of the following day is being taken up with gathering back together all the melted body parts and attempting to re-hydrate in whatever way necessary, there will be much gnashing of teeth at being clearly beaten by a deserving Raynes Park Vale team.

Former K's man Reece Bowers-Williams got the goalscoring going in the 13th minute before Jordan Gallagher added the first of what would be a hat-trick of goals seven minutes later. After the normal rush of second half substitutions came and went, Gallagher added his team's third and fourth goals in the 72nd and 79th minutes.

It's to be hoped that this was merely a bad day in the pre-season oven for K's as on Saturday they will face what is sure to be a good quality Hayes & Yeading United team at Imperial Fields for a 3pm kick-off.

K's starting XI: Rob Tolfrey, Isaiah Jones, Louis Collins, Jack Strange, Ollie Cook, Jordan Wilson, Fumnaya Shomotun, Thomas Gogo, Stephane Bombelenga, Kieron Cadogan, Jesse Koffi.

Substiutes: Matte Pierson, Kwesi Ntim, Cerny Ando, Geneiro Maragh, Jonathon Gjoshe, Ryan Holt, Shane Cojocarel, Lewis Pearch, Iker Noguera Leon, David Lopes.
