Matt is an experienced defender who joined the club in the summer of 2023 from neighbours Chorley and his signing was a real coup for the club. Matt made 199 appearances over two separate spells at Chorley and was part of their 2019 National League North Playoff winning side.
Matt started his career at Blackpool in the tangerine’s youth set up and has featured for Southport, Boston United and Curzon Ashton during his career.
