A statement from Bamber Bridge Football Club,
- Club Statement
Firstly, we would like to thank every supporter, volunteer, member, sponsor, and person connected withBamber Bridge Football Club for their continued patience, loyalty, and support during what has been a very important and challenging period for the football club.
We feel it was important to provide another honest and heartfelt update regarding where matters currently stand and reassure everyone that, whilst progress may appear slow from the outside, significant work continues to take place behind the scenes every single week.
As many supporters will appreciate, the football club is currently in the middle of a major transition period. Processes involving legal structures, governance, solicitors, regulatory requirements, and historical club matters are unfortunately not straightforward and can often become very time-consuming. A great deal of work is currently ongoing to ensure everything is completed properly, professionally, and in the best long-term interests of Bamber Bridge Football Club.
Part of this work involves reviewing historical records, previous minute notes, agreements, and documentation due to numerous changes over many years. Inevitably, this has slowed progress in certain areas, but it is important that everything is done correctly and transparently for the future protection and stability of the football club.
We fully understand that supporters are eager for regular updates and major announcements, and we apologise if communication has at times seemed delayed. The reality is that things are moving steadily forward, but often there is simply little new information that can formally be announced until legal and regulatory matters are finalised. We can assure you that we will continue to provide honest updates whenever possible. What we can reassure everyone is that progress is absolutely continuing in a positive direction — albeit slower than any of us would ideally want. We remain fully committed, fully focused, and fully determined to get the football club where it needs to be. We will get there.
We would also like to place on record our sincere thanks to David Spencer & Brian Ginty for their continued support throughout this transition period. Their efforts and dedication to Bamber Bridge Football Club are greatly appreciated by everyone involved. Moving forward, Dan Ferguson will now be taking the lead as Chairman and will be implementing his team for the football club as it continues through this next important phase
As a club we have in recent months been working tirelessly, particularly in helping create sponsorship opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and general stabilisation efforts during this transition period.
The football club remains grateful to everyone who has offered their time, support, and assistance as efforts continue to strengthen the club and move it towards a more stable and positive future.
We would also like supporters to know that preparations for next season are continuing. Work on the pitch is scheduled to commence from June 1st as part of ongoing improvements and planning for the new campaign ahead. Updates will follow over the next few weeks.
In addition, pre-season friendlies are currently being organised and agreed behind the scenes. However, due to regulations and requirements involving EFL clubs, we are unfortunately unable to officially announce those fixtures until permission and formal confirmations are provided. Please be reassured that discussions are ongoing and matters are progressing exactly as they should be at this stage.
There is also continued work taking place regarding pre-season training schedules, sponsorship opportunities, club operations, governance structures, and strengthening the football club both on and off the pitch. Everyone involved genuinely has the football club’s best interests at heart and is committed to doing what is necessary to create a stronger, more stable, and more positive future for everyone connected with Bamber Bridge Football Club.
We know change can sometimes feel uncomfortable and uncertain, particularly at a football club where people care so deeply. However, these changes are necessary — first and foremost to help secure the survival and long-term stability of the football club, but also to allow us to build something stronger for future generations.
Now more than ever, the football club needs unity, positivity, and collective support from everyone connected with Bamber Bridge Football Club.
Thank you once again for your patience, understanding, and continued belief in what we are trying to achieve together.
We remain fully committed to moving Bamber Bridge Football Club forward — and we truly believe better days lie ahead.
