URGENT APPEAL: Pitch maintenance volunteers required.
Can you help our grounds team work on the pitch over the coming weeks?

Due to the heavy rainfall over the last weeks/months, the Irongate pitch is suffering drainage problems.
Sam (our groundsman) needs help over the next few weeks, or certainly until the rainfall recedes, to give the pitch the best chance of being playable. There are a number of key fixtures coming up for the Brig first team along with some other games which bring in much needed revenue to the club, so extra help is needed to get the pitch back up to our normal (brilliant) standard.
Work required will include divoting,forking and light rolling in between each fixture. Sam will on hand to advise what needs doing and to supervise volunteers.
THE FIRST SESSION IS THIS SUNDAY - 7th JANUARY AT 1PM
Please bring a garden fork if you have one.
The clubhouse will be open for volunteers or for anyone who wishes to come down an offer moral support to the volunteers over a pint or brew (or two).
Dates for further sessions will be agreed on Sunday.
